Radioshack update 1....upstairs upstairs!

Although missing some nice 10m DX from what I read on other blogs I've been busy with the new and permanent  radioshack the last few days. I've been installing the new stairs and did dismantle the old one. The previous house owner has been a hobby steel constructor so it seems, there was a complete liftsystem build in from steel. Later he converted it and constructed a steel stair with sliding rail and counterbalance. Very ingenious but not really my idea of it. Next will be fixing the hole in the floor were the previous stair/lift was mounted and then isolation of the roof.

Get the house in order, Bas. Then one big project out of the way so that for a number of future years you can concentrate on radio. Don't break your neck. 73 Dick

Hello Dick, The problem is that when all is finished the propagation peak is over. But on the other side, i've approx. 11 years to get everything right before the next cycle. 73, Bas

Hello Bas,

This reminds me of the house we visit in New York. I've climbed those stairs to install my PAR antenna up there several times. When I do this, I actually zig zag the wire to take up excessive length and feed the end matching box with coax from a first floor window. It works well.....

Inderdaad Bas. Gelukkig zijn hier de grootste klussen gebeurd.

Alleen nog de gang schilderen.

I hope so....

I can imagine that, though I will not install antennas inside the new shack. 73, Bas

73, Bas
