Radioshack update 2 -progress-

Slowly progress is made in the new radioshack. First of all both walls are insulated with 6cm thick rockwool. Now I'm busy to insulate the roof with 10cm thick rockwool. A third of the roof is ready now and I hope to finish the complete insulation within 2 weeks. I don't have holidays like many of you, these days are ery busy on the job. The only days I'm off the job are te christmas days and new years day. I like to spend those days with my family, so no building then. Since I work with my time management project I spend 2 hours a week in the evening building my new shack. The second photo shows the throughput through the wall for the coaxcables. I drilled a 6cm hole in the brick wall and mounted a PVC pipe in it with 45 degree bends inside and outside. For now I'd put a cloth in it to stop the cold air. I also think about a solution for the 450 Ohm ladderline which connect my radio to the horizontal loop in winter. With future experiments in mind I want to make 2 throughputs for ladderline through the inner wooden roof.

Good morning Bas, it looks very good and it's nice to start from scratch so you can plan and build the room how you want it. As you are working hard over the next two weeks while at work you can day dream about the shack and how it is to be setup.

Hi Bas. Looks like everything is moving forward nicely. Good that your time-management system is working well. 73 Dick

Hallo Bas,

Het 1e begin ziet er al goed uit!
Gelijk isoleren, goed idee.

Sometimes I daydream about the shack for shure Mike. But it will take a lot of time before I can finally DX from there. Hopefully it will be ready this summer. 73, Bas

The timemanagement is working well for me indeed. The progress is slow, but at least there is progress. 73, Bas

73, Bas

73, Bas
